Is This a Favorite Theater?

Opened in 1950 as Holiday Theatre. Classic Cinemas purchased the theater in 1980 and renamed it the Park Forest Theatre. Classic Cinemas left for a short time and then returned when the new operator didn't work out. They twinned the auditorium in 1990. Later, the balcony was converted into two additional screens, and an adjacent space brought the total screen count to 5.

Sensible Cinemas chain ran the theater from 2004-2005. It reopened in January 2006 as the Eagle Theater (might have been called Eagle Park Forest Theater).

In 2010, it was renamed Holiday Star Theater by its new owner.

Close reasonable and on Tues. they show a free movie for seniors popcorn included how great is that. I go during the other times also to show support and keep it going.

Was pleasantly surprised to see the Park Forest Theater was once again showing quality movies like Sarah's Key and The Tree of Life. I hope this continues because I know I'll be attending and so will several others from the South Suburbs.

New in town so I thought we would check out this new theater? I very pleasantly surprised!!!

The girl that greeted us at the concession stand was very polite and spunky. The line at the concession stand was minimal which is priceless in itself. The popcorn Tuesday nights is FREE, yes! FREE! bring your own bag.

It's not a plush Marcus or AMC but I was there for the Movie and POPCORN which I got plenty. FREE REFILLS. Try it for a good old time movie going experience! promise you will be back!!!

My husband wanted to go check out this "CHEAP" theater. I will say it is a little difficult to find but very worth the discovery. The theater is very small so no everending lines. The cashier was very up-beat pleasent,cheerful very sweet young lady. The price couldn't beat with a stick. We went to the early movie cost 3.50 I don't know of anyother theater that reasonable.

Plus the item at the concession stand were also reasonable.Marcus theater Lg popcorn 7.00, Park Forest theater Lg popcorn 5.00 Fresh, Hot, Delicious again no line that's winner in itself.

GREAT place to bring a new date, or a family because with the $$$ Money you save you can stil go out to get something to eat Check it out I guarantee it to be a good choiceand "YOU'LD BE BACK"

I would like to say this was a very positive experience for us! . The ticket girl was very pleasant the theater is a "TERRIFIC" deal, and the popcorn was hot and fresh with no giantic lines.

Would recommend it to anyone! Good family experience. Give them a chance it will be well worth it and it will be one of your favorites also.
