Aug 21, 2018 (> 1 year ago) - BigScreen Reader There is an employee named Mark. He is supposedly a manager at AMC Studio 30 on Dunvale. Mark is a belligerent troglodyte. He approached Haven (professionnally trained service dog) and I at our seats when I asked a question. Haven stood up, wagged her tail, and hello barked twice. 2 single friendly barks. I told her to hush and sit; which she did immediately. This Mark then said "That's It! Your dog is aggressive and disruptive. You need to leave right now!" I said "No. She's my service dog. I'm her handler. I got her under immediate control. She barked 2x then sat. We've been coming here nearly weekly for almost a year. If she was disruptive, I would have no issue with removing her from the theater." Haven stood up wagging tail on the other side of me watching me on a relaxed leash.. He then yells " Look! She stood up and is being aggressive and is trying to attack me! Get out now!" I told him he was being belligerent and disciminatory. I invited him to contact the police to straighten matters out. He was very insulting and yelling after that saying he didn't care what the ADA or the Law says. My service dog trainer was there and tried to educate him and offered law enforcement intervention. He said "No! You need to leave now!" We refused. At that point, he called his General Manager and another employee for assistance because there was an "out of control aggressive dog" in the theater. Mind you Haven was sitting or standing quietly the whole time this is going down. The GM handled it much better but was still in the wrong bc he said he didn't witness anything and could only go by what his employee says. The GM even said he has seen us at the theater several times and there was never an issue. He refunded our money and asked us to comeback another time. However, this Mark character flat out lied, got aggressive with us, ruined our experience and got his way in the end. Unfreakinbelievable! Would you recommend this theater to others? No Feb 2, 2018 (> 1 year ago) - BigScreen Reader I've been attending AMC Studio 30 on Dunvale for years and with no complaints. We even exchange Studio 30 gift cards every Xmas.
