UltraScreen Information

Many Marcus locations include one or more "UltraScreens" which feature screens about 70 feet in width with upgraded sound systems over their standard auditoriums. While the first generation of UltraScreens stopped there, Marcus continued to improve on the concept and amenities have been added to each subsequent construction project.

A renovation project that was started at North Shore Cinema in Fall 2008 and was completed in May 2009 resulted in an UltraScreen project that features a 70-foot wide screen and two levels of seating, with the upper level containing an adults-only lounge and reserved seating.

While they do not specify a height for this screen, a standard 2.4:1 screen that is 70' wide would result in a height of approximately 29'. Seating capacity for the UltraScreen is reported to be 450.

Onsite Dining Options

The aforementioned renovations also added more food options for customers. Most notably, the lobby saw the addition of a Zaffiro's Pizzaria and Bar, which offers thin-crust pizza as well as a full selection of wine, beer, and cocktails to theater guests. Zaffiro's also has outside access, so you do not need to pay for a movie admission to enjoy lunch or dinner.

The concession area offers what Marcus calls the "Hot Zone" which provides sandwiches, wraps, and popular appetizers in addition to the traditional popcorn, soda, and candy items.

Other Interesting Information

The parking lot for this theater always looks busy, proving it to be a popular entertainment destination with people in Mequon and the other suburbs of Milwaukee's North Shore. Its proximity to Concordia University no doubt assists in its popularity, but also the lack of other options for movie theaters in the immediate area.
