Price of a movie is somewhat reasonable but snack prices are insane. Would rather have choice of smaller servings at a reasonable price. I have no idea on what the mark up is but you can buy a whole bag of unpopped popcorn for the price of a small bag there.

My wife and I used to go at least twice a week but now we go one or twice a month. Staff wise and condition of the place are outstanding. To bad you get robbed at the concession stand.

Twice we went to the theater this week and twice the movie wasn't running because. I could understand it happening the first time but the second time is inexcusable. Both times I checked the times and running on the internet and called. Nothing was mentioned about movie not running.

What can the poor little girl selling tickets do when management is so negligent. What's with the people that run this place. I understand this theater was sold to the Chineese if you can believe that.

I'm a local person and I like the Johnson Creek Theater Complex. But I do agree with some other comments. I believe the matinee hours have been adjusted back to like anything before 5 p.m. I believe it used to be before 6 p.m.

I do think that it is an expensive theater to attend. The $10 to attend the movie is a little high, but the concessions cost more than the ticket to the movie and I only get a large drink and a small popcorn every time and it cost me over $20 bucks total to attend the movie.

But the place is really clean, the staff is nice and the sound volume is just about right for me (most places sound volume is just too loud for me! I don't have to wear earplugs here!).

So I'm willing to pay a little extra, but I do wish that 1: they would play movies final showings during the week later (most start during the 7 p.m. hour) and 2: their matinee prices would change back to anything before 6 p.m. (as I said earlier, I think there matinee movies are now anything before 5 p.m. and you'll find that most of their movies in this area of time start at like 5:05, 5:15, 5:25, 5:30, etc. pm.).

Come on now, the people who run this theater don't think we know what there doing?! I'm certainly willing to support a local theater, but this one is not locally owned and I'm willing to go somewhere else. They need to change there matinee times back to what they were or change the start times of matinee movies to 4:30, 4:50, 4:55 to include them in the matinee pricing.

I live in Johnson Creek, Wi we have an AMC theater in our SMALL town, and I was VERY upset to see that the theater is not playing the number 1 movie Think Like a Man. I called to ask why they weren't playing it and they said it was because they didn't have room. I see that they are playing Titanic and have not one but 2 rooms showing The Pirates. I was told there was no one I can speak to but the manager and that there was nothing I could do.

I think that there is a racial reason why the movie isn't playing there and would like someone to explain how the movies are picked for the theaters they are played in. I don't understand why one of the most popular movies isn't showing in a theater. Could someone please explain how the theater movie selection works, cuz I don't understand it. Thanks for your time.

I dislike going to this theater. I really think the only reason I go is because I dislike Whitewater's more.

Reasons Why:

I think their screens are too big for the actual films. So the white in the background kind of irritates and draws away. The prices are astronomical now. It cost us $20 total per person. Cut that down a few dollars and I'd be more happy.

Their staffing is nice and genuine but I don't believe you should have to be 21 to take a minor in. My girlfriend just turned 18 not too long ago, I'm 20 on the verge of 21, and they wouldn't let her in because she forgot her ID, even though I had proof of mine, and was over age.

I think the sound quality could be a bit louder too. Some of the movies are a little distorted because it's too hard to hear quiet commentary. Ever since AMC took over, I'm not happy with how things have changed. I'm not going to tell people yes to go, or no don't go because I'm not qualified.

It's still a good theater if you aren't picky like me. I value a dollar and for me to have to spend $20 is a little outrageous. The only way I can think of that would be good, is if you get free refills. But honestly, if you get a large on soda and popcorn for just yourself, are you really going to need / get refills? They know this.

Took my 12 year old daughter and her 12 year old friend to see Breaking Dawn. Waited for a weekday because of the discounted rates, $7.50 adult, $5.00 for kids 2-12. They would not give the girls the kids rate saying it means under 12, it says ages 2-12, not 2-11, not under 12! It cost me an extra $5.00, as a mom to 4, and in todays tight economy, $5.00 is $5.00!!!! I feel this is false advertising!

I was mad enough about the price hikes when AMC took over, but even worse, they took away the late night showings. During the week and Sunday night nothing starts later then 7:30 pm, so frustrating for people who like late movies after the kids go to sleep.

This theatre has made so many changes and none to benefit the customer it seems. We have been taking our business to Whitewater and Marcus Eastgate.

I love going to this theater. Price is right. How can you say it is too expensive. If you go before 5 pm M-TH it is $5.00. Most expensive tickets are on F-Su nights($10.00).

I was surprised the first time I came to the theater after if changed ownership to AMC. The concession prices alone are enough for me to think twice about coming back. Not to mention the $10.00 ticket prices.

I used to be able to bring my family to a movie without spending a small fortune, but not anymore. Thanks alot AMC of Johnson Creek! And I'm sure the movie theater in Delifeld thanks you as well becouse they will be getting my futrue busniess.

Although concession prices have gone up from too high to way too high, the $5 week-day movie price is still a bargain.

If you are there during the week, like myself, you will also meet super-employee Bill who works concessions, starts the films, cleans the theatres, and is friendly to all customers. Bill is a major asset for the theater and hopefully is appreciated. You can always check with Bill if you want a review of any film playing as he is a movie fan. Great job Bill!

As a VERY regular customer for the past several years (3-4 times a week, even), I can no longer afford to attend movies at this theater. The week-day prices went down, however the concession prices went up. There is no real savings in that.

And week-ends? I cannot even justify paying $10.00 per ticket plus another $15-$18 a person in snacks. This is really sad because the clients in my group home cannot even enjoy an evening out to the movies without having to sacrifice something else in exchange for the cost.

Every incentive to see movies here has ceased to exist.

I now attend movies at Whitewater or Delafield.

It's not the same as going to the home town theater, but it's more affordable and reasonable.

Since AMC has taken over, there have been changes - not for the better!

Prices on weekends have gone up far too high for the market and I'm sure that will effect attendance. Going to a 4:30 showing of "Secretariat" a couple of weeks ago, we were surprised at the ticket price of $10 each! Needless to say, we now drive the extra 20 minutes to the Marcus Hillside Theatre in Delafield or the Marcus Eastgate Theatre in Madison. Tickets are still $7 there - we certainly don't use $6 worth of gasoline!

We had been regular patrons, at least once each week, at the Star Johnson Creek Cinema, but aren't any more!

My wife and I were turned away at the door because she forgot her ID to show she's over 18. We're both 25, and I had my ID to prove that. She was wearing her wedding ring. You have to be 18 to get married... Don't think I'll be going back to this theater.
