History

The Marcus West Point Cinema opened as a six-screen theater on November 27, 1985 (according to the Tuesday, November 26, 1985 edition of The Milwaukee Sentinel). In 1996, it underwent a renovation to improve the theater and the moviegoing experience for customers. Perhaps it was after this renovation was complete that it changed its name to "Marcus West Point Luxury Cinema."

The theater closed on May 3, 2007 following the opening of the new Marcus Majestic Cinema just a few miles away in Waukesha, which was built to replace both the West Point and Marcus Westown locations.
