37417 Niles Boulevard Fremont, CA 94536 Message: 510-494-1411 more » Opened Nov 4, 1913 as the Edison Theater. Reopened as the Bell Theater Apr 29, 2014. Known as the Niles Theater in 1916. Renamed to the Fox Theater in Nov 1917, and then later the Rex. The Rex became the Egyptian Ballroom dance hall between 1927-1929. It was then used as a warehouse. The Niles Essanay Silent Film Museum took over in 2004 and started showing movies in 2005.
