Only 19 U.S. Theaters to Present Star Wars: Episode II Digitally
[5/3/2002] Updated 5/7/2002

George Lucas filmed Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones entirely with digital movie cameras, and he hoped that many theaters would be able to project his latest Star Wars movie the way he shot it; digitally. Unfortunately, many factors (including cost) have prevented theaters from installing the equipment necessary to do so.

When the movie opens on May 16th, 2002, only 19 theaters will be projecting digitally, instead of using standard 35mm film:

Arizona
Harkins Arrowhead Cinemas 18 (Peoria)

California

Florida
