LOS ANGELES, May 20 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Warner Bros. Pictures will release the highly anticipated third installment of the Harry Potter film series, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, in select IMAX(R) theatres beginning Friday, June 4th. This family event film has been digitally re- mastered with IMAX's proprietary IMAX DMR(R) technology into the unparalleled image and sound quality of The IMAX Experience(R). The film is opening simultaneously in traditional 35mm theatres and IMAX theatres, and will expand into additional IMAX theatres over the summer, offering moviegoers the opportunity to experience the magic and adventure of Harry Potter on a screen towering up to eight stories tall surrounded by 12,000 watts of pure digital sound.
