The winners of the 77th Annual Academy Awards were presented on Sunday, February 27th on live television. The following is a rundown of the events and related news items and we will update this page as we find items of interest.

An Honorary Award was given to Sidney Lumet to honor his "brilliant services to screenwriters, performers and the art of the motion picture." Lumet directed such films as "12 Angry Men" in 1957, "Dog Day Afternoon" in 1975, "Network" in 1976, and "The Verdict" in 1982.
