Absolutely excellent movie! If you have not read the book (which is also excellent, by the way), you'll still enjoy the movie, but if you have read the book, you'll enjoy the movie even more. There are some details that are shown in the movie (less significant background actions by characters) that are not explained, but were in the book.
Sean Connery plays his part perfectly, and the rest of the cast also did a great job. The story was very believable, and it was great to see on the screen what my imagination created by reading the book.
This is a movie that can be enjoyed multiple times, and is well worth owning on home video. I've got it on DVD (two versions) and now on Blu-ray as well.
