"Footloose" is a fun movie from 1984. To me it's a better movie than "Flashdance." What I like about this movie is the conflict between Kevin Bacon and the town over dancing. The plot may be corney, but it works. I love the movie. I even like the ending. The music score is first-rate with memorable songs like the title song and "Let's hear it for the Boy." It's the most fun I had at the movies in the 1980's.

A great hero named Kevin Bacon teaches a town full of people with sticks up their butts that dancing, well, it's the greatest thing ever.
