Excellent family film. Good values and a wonderful true story about a girl who overcomes her physical handicap (losing an arm to a tiger shark) to go on competing as a surfer. No bad language, just good wholesome family fun.
Tramatic scene when the shark actually attacks her, but tastefully done because you don't really see anything- just alot of blood.
Very well done, great FAMILY movie.
Annasophia Robb has grown up a bit since "Bridge to Terabithia." In "solo Surfer," she played surfer Bethany Hamilton who lost her arm to a shark. And then bounce back from that tragedy. Robb play Hamilton very well, but didn't mach her performance in "Bridge to Terabithia." The movie comes to life when she had to deal with her handicap and how other see her.
