One of the best political thrillers in years. "The Ides of March" is a movie about how brutal politics can be, George Cloony, who directed this movie plays Mile Morris a democrat candidate for President of the Unitred States. He is up against a rival who also want the oval office. Ryan Gosling plays Morris press secretary. But when a scandal breaks out involving a young intern, played by Evan Rachel Wood, it could bring harm to the campaign. I love this film, not because of the strong cast, because the film is so believable, you feel it as you sat in the theatre. Although, George Cloony is the star of the movie, the real forcus is on Gosling.

Awesome...gripping, intense dialogue/story....I'm a politics junkie so I would like this story but it was very well acted, scripted, directed and cast. Hoffman and Gossling and Clooney and Guiamatti are all great.....I think I will need to even see this movie again since it was that good.....2 hours went very fast...story seems quite credible albeit disgusting if really true...anyway, well worth your investment of time to see this one...I think all will like it!

Not the best political thriller, but not the worst either. It's definitely worth renting.
