A french drama about the relationship between a Shoe Shine Man (Andre Wilms) and a runaway boy named Idrissa (Blondin Miguel) who came from Gabon and wanted to go to London. But first Marcel Marx ( Wilms) must raise the money to get him to London, but must avoid a detective who's looking for the boy. Also Andre must deal with his wife who's in the hosiptal with and an illness that she can't discuss oit with her husband. I like the friendship between the pair. Director Aki Kaurismaki did a great job of directing; a great job of putting people and events together. I'll say it again, if you never saw a good foreign language movie, now's your chance to see "Le Havre."
