One of the best action movies of all time. Bruce willis get trapped on a high rise building where hostages are taken, which includes his wife, played by Bonnie Bedelia.Alan Rickman is excellent as the leader of the gang of hostage takers. Rickman's villain role is a bullseye. He played his villain role very well. The action moves along in a fast pace sort of way. And the music score by Michael Kamen is the best sounding music score I've ever heard. Bedelia is also excellent as the heroine. I love her performance, and I'm glad she came back for "Die Hard 2." Bruce Willis is fun to watch as he runs for cover ever time a bomb explodes. Reginald Veljohnson plays the cop who helps Willis. I saw this movie in 1988 and is fresh in mine mind today. If it wren't for "Raiders of the Lost Ark" "die Hard" could have the been the action movie to end all action movie.
