What's the best move release over the Memorial Day weekend. Is it "The Hangover, Part III?" No! Us it "The Fast and the Furious 6? Yes, but No! Is it Epic? Yes! The best movie over the holiday weekend is "Epic" an ambitious amointed epic about the battle between good and evil is someone's backyard. Although "Epic" doesn't live up to it's title, it has not only heart, but the animation is very beautiful. People will be coming to see the movie just to hear the voice of Beyonce Knowles, like I came to see the movie just to hear the voice of Amanda Seyfried. Both excuses are lame. You need to see the big picture and hear the voives. The voice cast is pretty impressive. My favorite character is Mary Katherine who is voice by Seyfried. She is a smart girl who is overcoming the death of her mother and must deal with her grief by moving in with her father. Their dog has three legs. (Reminds me of Hiccup from "How to Train Your Dragon") Then without warning she is transported to a world inwhich two tribes battle each over over the control of the backyard. I like Beyonce Knowles' voice of the princess. She looks beautiful. The character Mary Katherine makes this movie worked. Also the amimnation is very beautiful "Epic" is an apology for the last Ice Age movie. I saw the movie in 3D. If I see the film in 2D, my opinion of the movie won't change a bit.
