"Safety Not Guaranteed" is weird mix of Science fiction and Comedy. It's like "Back to the Future" with a shoestring budget. Aubrey Plaza is likabout as a journalist who and two others made a trek to interview a man who place an ad in the newspaper about a time machine. The man who place the ad is played by Mark Duplass who spend day as the stock boy and spend his time building a time machine from stuff that he stole. I like this movie because I expect lots of surprises and I got them. This is not a dull movie.

This is a good movie, mostly because of Aubrey Plaza. If she wasn't in it, it would have been a very uninteresting story. You get the constant Aubrey Plaza persona here which you see in her stage comedy, her Leno appearance, her tv work, which is attractive and very appealing. But I think there is hidden talent here which I wish she would bring out. I bet she can really act and not just show us that quirky, vacuous eyes flashing stuff. She is a beauty and fun to watch so I recommend this movie. But I'd like to see something different from her next time.
