"Edge of Tomorrow" is not only one of the best science fiction movies in years, but one of the most original science fiction movies. Tom Cruise is in it, but he had help. He played a officer who was reculted to stop a group of aliens calling themselves the minics. That is a creature with many legs and can sneak up to you before you'll know it.They're attacking Europe and need to be stop.sounds like Europe during the early days of World War 2? Cruise plays a man who keeps being killed and comes back to lefe againm a better person. I liuke thge concept of the moviue, it's based on the tale, "All You Need is Kill" by Hiroshi Sakuazaka. But the film looks like that it came from "Groundhog Day" which I also like. Tom Cruise gave a good performance, but I'm not her for hom or the movie. Lots of people are going to come out for Cruise, but not me. I'd rather come to this movie just because of Emily Blunt. I've been following her career since "The Devil Wears Pavda," and I became her biggest fan. I love the actress very much. You can say that you came for tom Cruise all you want, but I came to this movie to see Emily Blunt.

This movie is everything I was expecting from it. Tom Cruise could easily be an asset or a liability, and fortunately, he brings a charisma and screen presence combined with a wry humor that works.
If anything, it's Emily Blunt who seems perhaps a little uncomfortable in her role. She can bring a lot to her characters, and she seems restrained, which is a shame. It would have been interesting to have their roles reversed...
I heard this movie described as a well-done video game movie that's not based on a video game, and I think that's an apt assessment. The mechanized suits and war situations echo many of the video games out there. Unlike so many of the actual game-based movies, this movie succeeds in developing a story and its characters well enough to draw the viewer into caring about what's happening and the fate of those in the story.
An inescapable comparison is made to Bill Murray's Groundhog Day, where an initially dislikeable character utilizes the fact that he's reliving the same day over and over again to improve himself and do some good at the same time.
This movie checks all the boxes. Lots of action sequences, good characters and storyline, and great sound effects!
