A smart and brilliant set in the future where computers dominated the lives of everyone. I spent my time on computers, get on The Big Screen Cinema Guide, Facebook, and Twitter and yes compurters do play an important part of my life. The film is a character study of a computer geek named Theodore Tuembly played by Joaquin Phoneix as a letter writer who falls for a computer with a female voice. Her voice is played by Scarlett Johansson and her voice dominates Tuebly, but she dominate this movie. Phoneix performance is a rare find for the actor. In the past, he played tough roles. this is thne first time that I ever saw him played a likable role. For once, it's nice to see him having fun on the big screen. I hope he gets an Oscar nomination for his role. Amy Adams is in this film, she took a sweet turn from that stripper role in "American Hustle." You know, I would love to have a computer with the voice of Scarlett Johansson and a sidekick with a foul mouth. "Her" really made my day.
