I was shocked to see that the movie which was seen on the Syfy Channel, has found it's way to movie theatres. I lot of people love the movie. One wrote on Twitter that it was the greatest movie ever made. The other day, I got a chance to see this movie and it was dumb and violent. I'd rather pick the machanical shark from "Jaws" than a bunch of sharks falling from the sky. A group of sharks on top of torandos are flying into Los Angeles than drop onto people and eat them or disbow them. A group of people (not the brightest in the bunch) is going all over the city to aviod the sharks and the torandoes that carry them. One charater is a bar rat who sits at the end of the bar grabbing any waitress that comes by. That sort of thing makes Norm Peterson of "Cheers" look bad. Even the special effects are laughable. I expect better from this movie. The only bright spot in the movie is Tara Reid. She doesn't add much to the character, but with the popularity of this movie, let hope that will start a comeback for the actress.
