The first strong contender for best picture of the year. Last year, I had to wait until July to find my first strong contender. (yesterday I score two contender for best movie, the first was "The Grand Budapest Hotel" and the other is "Veronica Mars" which I will review shortly) The film is directed by Wes Anderson whose last movie is "Moonrise Kingdom," and although the film is not as good as "Moonrise Kingdom," it had plenty of good moments. The film take place at the Budapest Hotel which is the center of a scadal involving a picture and lots of intrigue. and a war is brewing on their borders. Ralph Fiennes gave a great performance, the best role that he's ever done in years. He play the manager of the hotel who his aid is a lobby boy who told the story in the movie. I love the look of the movie and I love the film in the way it is told in a deadpan humor way. That sort of deadpan humor is also in the movie "Moonrise Kingdom." I love the tone and the look of the movie. It made me smile knowly that there are filmmakers who care about the movies they made. I love the movie very much.
