War for the Planet of the Apes cements the "new" Planet of the Apes series as one of the best trilogies ever made. Expertly combining thrilling action with heartfelt drama, this movie is nearly perfect.

The planet of the apes 2010's reboot is far better than the original reboot that last from 1968 to 1975. The best reason that the computer animation that make the apes more real. "War for the Planet of the apes" is the best of the three because it offers more action and less talk. Caesar again play by Andy Seris,(he deserves an Oscar nomination, but that was just me talking) and a few apes take a journey journey only to discover a POW camp fro apes and it's up to them to liberate them. the leader of the humans is played by Woody Harrison in a villain role. i like the cast, but the biggest standout is Amiah Miller as a little human girl who was abandon and is befriended by the apes. 2017 is coming down as the year of the strong woman? How about 2017 is the year of the strong girl. Miller has join ranks with Datine Keen "Logan" and Mackenna Grace "Gifted." If you like the last two apes movie, you won't have trouble liking this movie.

This movie might have been a victim of unrealistic expectations, causing it to fall short of my expectations going in.

I really enjoyed the first two movies in the series, and I have them on Blu-ray and have watched them a few times since. I had read some reviews that said that it was the best of the series, and pumped up the end result as one of the best movie trilogies.

War for the Planet of the Apes is a good movie. However, much like the original Star Wars movies, as well as the Lord of the Rings movies, the third installment did not disappoint but also did not match that which came before, especially the second installment.

I enjoyed Dawn of the Planet of the Apes for how it portrayed humans and apes having to find a way to deal with each other. There was a lot of grey in the characters on both sides, and it was nice to see both perspectives.

Here, we have a movie largely told from the perspective of the apes. Perhaps that is appropriate, given where the series leads us to in the "Planet of the Apes" timeline. Unfortunately, Woody Harrelson's colonel is just barely more of a cardboard cutout of a character, and you just know that he could have surpassed Gary Oldman's character from the second installment.

What didn't help my experience was a guy two rows ahead of me and to the left that decided that it was much more interesting to do something on his phone every 10 minutes or so. People that can't handle two hours without looking at their phones should examine their cognitive and attentiveness capabilities. At the very least, go back to the back row so no one else has to be distracted by your actions!

I'm looking forward to seeing this movie again. I'll pick it up on Blu-ray when it's released, so that I can complete my series set and to give it another chance in my own controlled environment.
