Last Sunday night, I was watching the MTV Movie Awards (which it's getting to be like the Razzies by each passing year; also I'm angry that "Carol" was snubbed from Best Kiss), Melissa McCarthy got a special award where she was named Comedic Genius Award. the next day, I saw the movie "the Boss," and my first impression is that is Melissa McCarthy the same woman whop won the comedic genius award is the same woman who appear in this terrible unfunny movie such as "The Boss?" I think that award was gone to the wrong person. That movie is unfunny with plenty off color humor and McCarthy has nothing to show, except for the fashion she wore. there's nothing funny coming out of her. McCarthy plays Michelle Dernell who was sent to prison for inside trading and after coming out of prison, who movies in with her assistant (played by kristin Bell) and her daughter. From there she must rebult her empire with help from a girl troop. there's noting funny about the movie. the energy level is low low and the movie lackiing wit. Melissa McCarthy didn't earn her award though this movie. And to the people who gave that award out to her, well, the jokes on them.

I like Melissa McCarthy but in is this movie she was terrible and so loud, I couldn't take her voice. This movie seemed like it had two botoxed faces that you were watching through the whole movie one screaming through the whole movie and the other just appearing. Was more annoying than entertaining. Couldn't sit through the whole movie.

1 minute of funny 2 hours of boredom.

Weird, I don't care for Melissa McCarthy in Mike and Molly, but loved her in Gilmore Girls and I haven't found a movie role I don't like her in! Yes, she plays a loud, wild character, but the movie is fun (although I don't care for the message she was giving the young girls in the movie but to me it's not as bad as making young kids curse for movies just for a laugh...and I don't understand why people laugh when someone curses anyway).
