Outstanding movie. Emotional at times, perfect acting, great scenery, and beautiful story.

another lousy teen movie featuring characters you wouldn't want to hang out at the mall. "the Space Between Us" looks like Nicholas sparks make an attempt to write a science fiction movie and ended with a lousy romantic story between two people from two different plants. The movie began with a group of astronauts going to the plant mars. One of the crew members is pregnant and had to give birth on Mars before the mother dies. Seventeen years later the kid grew to be a teenager, goes back to Earth to find his father and he connected with a girl he met on line. Asa Butterfield plays the kid from Mars. Britt Robertson his love interest. After thw two met, they decide to go on a road trip inwhich they steal cars and visit Las Vagas. If you watch road trips over the years 9 times out of 10, these road trips end up going nowhere. And that's where this movie has headed. Gary oldman does noting but yell. and love to yell a lot. Asa butterfield character reminds me of Jeff Bridged character in the 1984 movie "Starman," but only by comparison only. Britt Robertson is appealing, but couldn't add anything more. the only thing I like in the movie is Carla Gugino who is the only adult in the room. This movie is about teen love is strange place, but there nothing more than that. Recently, my movie theater Alamo Drafthouse Cinema is closing in Kalamazoo, I've seen the future of movie in my town and it's not pretty. "The Space Between Us" citing one example.
