[--- Wait for Rental ---]by Jan Jan 24, 2001

I was really very disappointed in the way that this movie ended. It kept my interest throughout, but I hate when a movie ends like this. Give me an ending that I can find closure with. I would not see it again.

[--- Good ---]by Gary Clark Feb 11, 2001

Things I liked: 1) The filming and music was very pleasing throughout. 2) Nicholson did a great job. 3) The young daughter was very will directed. 4) I enjoyed the suspense of Nicholson's troublesome period during which he became overprotective of the young girl.

Things I did not care for: 1) There were moments in the film which could well have been left out ie... he is on a lake fishing (why??) and before the scene ends, there is a loud gun retort.. what was that for?? I never did figure that out... when the little chubby boy who first discovered the body of the victim in the early scenes showed up later in a parade, there was no follow up that would have showed the necessity of it being there 2) Obviously the trap scene set near the end using the daughter as bait was flawed in that the police would never allow a young girl to be used as bait 3) The ending was abrupt and left me a little cool about the whole movie.
