There's not a lot of new here. Amidst some good action moments, there's a lot of what we've come to expect from these two actors.

Reynolds does the same quippy, snarky character that Wade Wilson is from Deadpool.

Jackson does the same loud, cursing character that he's done in almost every other movie.

Last week, I heard two dee jays at a radio station all raving about "the Hitman's bodyguard. One dee jay said he saw the trailer for the movie and called it awesome. Here's a rule; don't judge a movie from the trailer. I saw the compete movie and it was anything but awesome. the main character, one a hitman and other his bodyguard. why would a hitman wanted to have a bodyguard? I though about this question as I went though the pace of the movie. It had a few good moments, but the movie is violent and with the screenplay consist of MotherF words that spread out in the movie. Plus the chemistry between Samuel L. Jackson and Ryan Reynolds (my least favorite actor) ranges from lukewarm to non-existence. Gary Oldman plays a dictator from a Soviet-style who kills innocents people and it was Jackson who must get the court house to testified against him. It was a good plot, but the violence sand the profanity laced screenplay has brought this film to a halt. So, to the two dee jays who praise this movie though the trailer, just leave the movie reviews to the experts. Like me.

Action plus comedy and the actors do a great job. One of the more enjoyable movies of the year even though the language is rather raunchy .

It has some funny moments, and the action is very well done, but you leave the theater feeling like you've seen this movie one too many times.
