I'm not sure what to make of this movie, really. The featured movie critic of this web site seems pretty confused as well.

The majority of the movie seemed as if the creator was trying to make some sort idealogical statement. One may get the impression that it is a statement against religion, Christianity in specific. Yet, the film tends to round itself off towards the end, fortunately.

Personally, I wouldn't want to sit through another session of mis-characterized, misleading fundamentalist Christian bashing. Or any fundamentalist faith bashing, for that matter. That's not what I go to the movies for. But I don't think that is what this movie is about.

I think it is meant to be somewhat cryptic, mystical, psychological. It is an interesting film, but I don't know if you need to rush to the theatre to see it.

Bill Paxton's film directing debut is a thriller called "Frailty" and coming from someone what hated serial killer movies, this film is a rare exception.

"Frailty" is well-acted and well-directed and has very strong performance, mostly coming from Paxton. A father had a vision from God to kill demons deguised as people as his two young boys watched. Lots of scary moments in this well-made shocker.
