Meg Ryan, who specializes in romantic comedies, appears as a modern 21st century woman trying to be the chief New York Honcho for an ad firm. Into her life pops a 19th century Lord from England by virtue of her former boy friend's "time machine." I loved the movie. It was actually one that you could see and not have to worry about it being loaded with sex scenes and other bad stuff. This is a good romantic comedy, with just a bit of sci fi thrown in. A sweet film. Sometimes funny, a bit predictable, yes, but all in all, worth seeing. I loved it!! It was a light romatic comedy (without sex and profanity) that left me smiling all the way home. There were some laugh out loud scenes that had the audience (male and female) laughing.
A romantic "Back to the Future." "Kate and Leopold" is a romantic fantasy told in a manner of a science fiction movie. In in a man, played by Hugh Jackman of "X-Men" and "Swordfish," gets transported to the 21st Century when falls for Meg Ryan Ryan is the best thing about this film. She willy and smart, but best of all she wears all those eye-catching cloating in the movie. A sweet, funny movie that you can see without having to deal with profanity, sex, etc. Ohmigawd, a movie you can actually feel romantic with! Hugh Jackman's a perfect fit for this; however, I desperately wanted to take a blowdryer and styling want to Meg Ryan's hair...it looked terrible.
