It was a funny movie quite fast moving. It gave a good feeling of the culture of India. Story line as interesting.

I heard about the Indian cinema, but never sat though any of the films from that country until "Monsoon Wedding." The film is both romantic and heartbreaking.
In it, a family planned a wedding for their daughter despite the problems that surround that wedding. "Monsoon Wedding" is beautifully made and acted. That film is one of the reason why I love foreign-language films. It gives you a chance to view life from another country or another culture.
"Monsoon Wedding" is the third movie that I saw that got nominated for a Academy Award for Best Foreign-Language film (behind "Amelie" and "No Man's Land") It's must-see cinema.
