Steven Seagal is back in the formula that carried him into stardom. Tough guy that stands up for what's right. Lot's of pummeling of the bad guys. Lot's of gunfire. Story was ok also.

"Half Past Dead" is a collection of fragments taken from several action movies, including the scussful Under Seige series, and putting them together like Emmo's glue, hoping that the glue will stick and the audience will buy it.

Steaven Seagal plays a inmate who must stop a hostage takeover at Alcatraz. I've seen this film before. The only good thing about this film is the beautiful Nia Peeples all deck out in leather.
