"The Girl with the Pearl Earring" is the other Scarlett Johnsson film. this is her third movie the last four months. Of the three, "Pearl Earring" will be the least view of the three movies. Perhaps I could come up with a better review and I think I shall. The film takes place in 17th Century Netherlands when a paintrer name Vermeer who died of a young age, comes across a maid as her inspiration. Her name is Griet played by Scarlett Johnsson, a maid who inspired him to paint among other things The Girl with the Pearl Earring. Sure it a movie about dutch history and dutch paintings. But it more than that. It's a beautiful film, with the color striking aginst the face. Anyone who wants to study cineography to get into the movies, it's a must-see. The film is nominated for three Academy Awards and if that movie wins best cineography, plus a few other awards. Then I had told you so. "the Girl with the Pearl Earring" is a study in dutch history and dutch paintings. Also the people behind the movie add color and light, making this film striking beautiful.
