"the Grindhouse" is a bloody, violent, sick, digusting, (let me finish) Well written, acted and sometimes funny movies which recall the Drive-in movies of the 1970's. It's been nearly twenty years since I last sat foot in a Drive-in, so I wanted to bring back all the memories. "the Grindhouse" is two movies with coming attractions, that is a take-off of Drive-in coming attractions. "Planet Terror" is about mutants who eat the skin and drink their blood. This is much better than "The Hills Have Eyes 2" that I saw a few weeks ago. "Death Proof" is a story of a disberb guy who likes to run women off the road until he got trouble with three females. "Planet Terror" is directed by Robert Rodriques, "Death Proof" is directed by Quentin Tarantino. The film also has a feeling of a drive-in, the coming attractions, the missing reels, the stratchy prints, bad editing. But despite that, I happen to love this movie. I laugh more out of his movie in the first half hour than the entire run of "Blades of Glory." If you got three hours to spare and have a strong stomach, well, you'll going to love "The Grindhouse."
This film was a gas! I had an awesome time. Planet Terror and Death Proof are made to be like a cheesy B rated horror films and they are hilarious as well as gory. The commercials in between the movies were also hysterical. Go see this film while it is still in the theaters!
