One of the best Disaster movies that came out of the 1970's, "The Towering Inferno" is a mountain of a movie with a strong cast which includes Steve mcqueen, Paul Newman, Willain Holden, Faye Dunaway. Even Fred astaire of all people. All teying to fight for survival against all odds when a tall building goes up in flames and people are trapped. I saw this movie many times and was glued to the movie. I like the Posiedon Adventure" (the 1973 version, not the 2006 version) a little, but "the Towering Infero" is much better.
