Mel Gibson has created another classic film like "The Passion of the Christ." The film is called "Apocalypto." It was rumored that Disney was to remove the film last summer after Gibson got into an anti-semitic rant with police. I'm glad they didn't go though with removing the film. Filmgoers should not be punished for what Gibson did. I also though that Gibson has been punished enough and he should be forgiven. I hope his movie will be the healing process. Thgis movie center on a tribe in South American who is on the verge of destruction at the hands of outsiders. Gibson has constructed this film very well. Ever the actors spoke a dialect which is unheard of even in Western civivlization. There is nudity and violence. Thank Goodness for the R rating. Director, co-writer Gibson has taken us to another world and he made it succeed. The film is "Apocalypto." It's one big adventure.

This movie was entertaining but I did walk out of there and think that several seens were very unrealistic. I expected more from it after seeing the previews and expected more from Mel Gibson. But I did not keep looking at my watch wondering when it would be over either.

An almost "nothing" film. If you want to learn about the Myan Civilization, get a glimpse into character development, a meaningful plot, ...this film is not for you. Who can argue about the make-up, the capacity to make an "uncivilized" band seem comprehendable, the realisim of the jungle chase scenes. Just on that basis alone, I would rank it a "C." But that's all.

Excellent movie! This is probably one of my favorite movies of the year. It was very entertaining, interesting, and historically accurate. An edge of your seat epic with quite a bit of gore. Go see "Apocolypto!"
