I know it didn't get good reviews but we liked it! It was cute. Love Vince Vaughn.
Vince Vaughn may have saved Christmas, but he can't save this movie "Fred Claus" is terrible. Warner Brothers have been promoting this film for seven months and all those months of promotions may have gone down the drain. Vaughn plays Santa's rebellous brother who was called to the North Pole by his brother Santa, played by Paul Giamatti. The same actor who played a killer in "Shoot Em' Up" is playing Santa Claus? What a stretch. There is very little to cheer about and the stuff you see in "Fred Claus," you'll see in other movies that featured Santa Claus. Someone is theatening to end Christmas and someone is trying to save Christmas. Nothing new here and there's nothing to like about this movie. In the lobby, I got myself a "Fred's Activity Book of Fun." It's got games and puzzles like "Connect the Snowflakes." That's a easy one. Or how many times can you find the word Naughty or Nice." Or can you "Spot the Scrooge." Yeah, it's the elf who just saw "Fred Claus." "How to Fold Ninja Elf Stars" and other games. Kids will find the Activity Book better than seeing this movie.
My hubby and 16yr old son and I all enjoyed it.
