A terrible little comedy that uses the Christmas holiday as an excuss for violence, arson and assults. "Deck the Halls" is a terible little comedy about two dinwits who would rather act their shoesize rather than their age. Danny's DeVito's wife looks like she came home from a stripper joint. Believe me, if the theme of the movie wasn't around the Christmas, it could've have rated PG-13 or even R. Matthew Broderick plays an eye doctor who around Christmans time, has always up up enough lights to light up an city, until DeVito moves in putting up far more lights than Broaderick. The film ends on a cheap emotional christmas emotion that I didn't buy. The only thing that work in this film is Kristin Davis. Where nothing works in a bad movie, I had to look to find something that does work and that is Davis. she's the only good thing in the film that I like. DeVito appear on "The View," yesterday acting drunk. He didn't promote the movie, he was making a fool of himself. He made a fool ot of himself making "Deck the Halls" and he was somber. |
