I was shocked when "Charlie Wilson's War" got five Golden Globe nominations. I was ever shocked when I saw the movie. it's a film about a guy who helped end the cold war by helping the rebels in Afghanstan. Although Aaron Sokin wrote the screenplay, it didn't helped the film at all.The chemistry between Tom Hanks and Julie Roberts never got off the ground. The only intrest in Hank's character is whatever or not he's got real hair. Julie Roberts' performance is just a rehash of her "Pretty Woman" character. She could get an Oscar nomination for her half-baked performance and leaving deserved people like Keri Russell for "Waitress" out in the cold. Thge film is directed by Mike Nichols, whose movie "Working Girl" also got plenty of Oscar nominations some 19 years ago. I'm afraid that "Charlie Wilson's War" will get some undeserved Oscar nominations.
