I was impressed with Hillary Swank in this role, and Gerard Butler was amazing! I cried throughout the movie, but it also made me laugh. This is definitely one for the girls to go out and see. I have yet to meet someone who didn't like it.
I love to see Hilary Swank in a romantic comedy, but sadly "P.S. I Love You" isn't that movie. I love the appeal of Swank along with the cloathes she wears, but apart form that that's it. The movie's just plain terrible. Gerard Bulter should stick to action movies. he's wasted. He plays a dead man who send leters to his wife. I don't believe it for one moment in this movie. Not one moment. The emotions are dry and comes at the wrong time. More important, the screenplay needs a major rewrite. Try telling that to the striking writers. the movie is terrible in every way. I recently saw two very good movies. "Juno" and "the Great Debators." Why waste your time in sitting though this thing you called a movie when you should see something else.
This movie was wonderful! Even Hillary Swank, who normally looks and acts like a male, was good! I didn't think I would like it because of her and with Gerard Butler being the one who dies I didn't think I would be able to sit through this movie! Despite those odds it was a great movie!
