"The Proposal" is year another dreary comedy about illegal immigration. Sandra Bullock, who can play the same character over and over again. Plays a book editor who must be sent back to Canada for one year because she an illegal alien. but before the first reel was over Bullock fakes an egagement to Ryan reynolds to avoid being deported. If you know what's going to happen next, you just a smart as I am. The two goes off to Alaska to meet Reynolds' parents who came off a sitcom bandwageon, all played by people who appear in past movies. Sandra Bullock doesn't do much to her character. In one scene, she wears a dress that is so tight, you can bounce off a quarter. Ryan Reynolds acts as if he's poising for GQ. A better movie about illegal immigration can be found in the movie "Frozen River," that is much better than what I saw.

This was a decent movie and I enjoyed it. It was not perhaps a movie you would need to see on the big screen, but the story and acting was very good and I do not feel like I wasted my money seeing this movie.

No it was not a great movie. Yes you know the outcome in the first 5 minutes, but it was a lot of fun to watch and had most of the people laughing through it. Sometimes it doesn't have to have a message, or the best acting in the world. Sometimes it is just nice to sit back and laugh.

This is a fun movie. Bullock, Reynolds, White, Steenburgen and Craig N. are an excellent cast. Bullocks version of Lil Jon and E. S. Boyz architectural rap From the window to t5he wall....sweat ....was unexpected but fun.
