"There Will Be Blood" has some blood, but not the way that you think. The film is based on the Upton Sinclar book "Oil." I would love to read that book someday. Daniel Day-Lewis gives the performance of a lifetime. I'm glad that he got an Oscar nomination. His dommance on the screen is powerful. he play Daniel Plainview, an oil tycoon who became rich by the stuff he's dealing. he had a son who went deaf after a oil well accident. this is a great movie. It reminded me of the 1956 film "Giant." With this movie, I have saw all five Oscar nominationed film for the 2007 Best Picture Academy Awards. A rare feat, even for me.
This was the worst movie I have seen in a long while. No plot, stupid ending. what a waste of money. I was hoping to see a solid movie to talk about, a good story. This is not it!
I don't know why there is all the hype about this movie I found it about average at best this was a very slow movie and way too long for me.I almost left after the first hour saying to myself stay it has got to get better after all it is up for best picture but it didn't get much better.
The acting was good even better than good but what about the plot a 2:40 minute movie about a psycho you didn't care about. This film should have never left the can.
