Barbra Streisand gave the performance of her career as Fanny Brice in the landmark 1968 Musical/Drama which earn her her first Academy Awards. I happen to see that movie a few months ago on Turner Classic Movies. If you don't have TCM, you don't know what's your missing. her performance as Brice is both very funny and very touching. it's directed by William Wyler who made some of the best movies of all time like "Ben-Hur" and "Roman Hoiliday." Omar Sharif is great as Brice's husband. But it was Streisand who dominated the movie and making it her own. I like this movie, so will you. "Funny Girl" is full of life.
