I haven't seen the 1987 remake of "The Stepfather," but watching the new version, gives me the chills. Dylan Walsh plays a killer who seduces widows, then kills the family and moves on. He upon one family and falls for Sela Ward, then moves in. Sela's son played by Penn Badgley suspects he's up to no good, and he might be right. I like Walsh's protrayal of the killer. He reminds me of Anthony Perkins' protrayal of Norman Bates in "Psycho." His character has an hidden evil, until that evil comes out in all the unexpected scenes. I haven't seen Sela Ward on the big screen in a long time. I'm glad that she's back. She's a beautiful actress. "The Stepfather" reminds me of seeing "Orphan" last summer as a orphan child comes into the house and unleash terror. Scary but fun to watch.
