Johnny Depp was EXCELLENT in the movie portraying Dillinger and the actress who played his girl gave a super performance! The story was just so-so, but with the excellent acting and action around every corner, you kind of forgot that the movie was only OK. :)

Depp is not as flamboyant as in Pirates....., but believable. Older buildings wre used as bank sets for robberies.

A rare summer movie for the adults. A movie that pays tribute to the gangsters movies of the 1930's. That movie is 'Public Enemies." johnny Depp gives another amazing performance as gangster John Dillinger. Christian Bale is the FBI agent assign to bring him in. the violence is explosive and the performances are amazing. There are some well-known performers in bit parts in the movie. One example is Leelee Sobinski has a small part. If you blink, you'll miss her. One movie inwhich Dillinger saw before he was shot is a movie called "Manhatten Melodrama" starring Clark Gable. I hope I get a chance to see it on Turner Classic Movies.

It was Ok but slow moving. It seemed to drag in several spots.
