[--- Good ---]by George Jobson VIP MemberNov 5, 2009

Many years ago, my father told me about one of the many reasons why Amelia Earhart disappered over the Pacific Ocean in 1937. He told me that the Japanese had killed her. I didn't believe him. Another theory that she was kidnapped by aliens. I don't believe that either. But what I believe is how beautiful they made her life story. "Amelia" is the story of the life of avaitor Amelia Earhart. She is brilliantly played by Hilary Swank, who may earn another Oscar nomination. the timeline of the movie is between 1928 to 1937 and the film goes back and forth from her beginnings to the ill-fated trip around the world. Richard Gere plays her faithful husband, but this movie belongs to Swank. Comparing her Amelia Earhart to that of Amy Adams' performance of "Earhart" in "Night at the Museum 2: Battle of the Smithsoniam. Adams' Earhart is over the top, Swanks' Earhart is pretty much in control. I love both performances and I hope both of them get Oscar Nominations.
