"The Killers" had nothing to do with the 1946 version or the 1964 version. the new "Killers" isn't funny. Lionsgate has kept the film from critics. the reason is probaby to make as much money as possible, until the reviews start coming out. Well they did a bang up job at the box office. they came in third with nearly sixteen million dollars. Just wait until the critics, including me get a chance to see it. It won't last long in theatres. Remember MacGruber? sure you do! But back to the movie. The film stars Ashton Kutcher as a hired assassin who falls for a young woman, played by Katherine Heigl. I'm not much of a fan of Heigl. her roles are mostly girls who are ego-driven. Just like the women in "Sex in the City." the two got married and three years later, his assassin job comes back and bites him hard. People starting shooting at them in the neighborhood. Towards the end of the movie, everyone in the neighborhood had guns. this is a terrible moments. a really bad movie that just shot itself in the foot. there's nothing to like in this movie.
While it has some moments, save your money for popcorn.
