I don't like this type of animation and it strayed from the story in bizarre ways at times. Too scarey for younger children. Gary Oldman looks like a "Hobbit" as Bob Cratchit - weird! At times it followed the classic Dicken's story word-for-word - that was when it was at its best. Very short fim meant lots of the story had to be cut.
A timeless classic being told by new technology. "A Christmas Carol" is the latest remake of the 1843 classic by Charles Dickens. Only in this new version, It was made by computer amination. The same method as Director Robert Zemeckis' last animation movie "the Polar Express." Jim Carrey was the voice of Stooge. He help made his character come to life. Matter of fact the entire movie comes to life with real city blocks the people, although animated movie like their in human form. the film's background is beautiful as well as the music score to go along with the movie. You know the story, I won't go any farther. You will have a great time with "A Christmas." One of the best movies of 2009.
It was.....OK....but nothing special.
