A powerful told tale of wart as seen though the eyes of a horse who have see it all. The movie began on the farm, then was taken into military service and saw the horrors of the first world war. I like the look of the movie and I like the music score and the direction by Steven Spielberg. I also like the goose who keeps biting people.
Photography is EXCELLENT! And I found the story extremely heartwarming.
Thought it was going to be better but not to bad.
This movie under-whelmed me. It was good but definitely not one of Spielberg's better films. It didn't even come close to horse films like Secretariat, Seabiscuit or even that oldie National Velvet. The movie hype did not carry over to this film.
I thought it was too long by about 30 minutes and it really wasn't that interesting. But I would see how people might want to get the rental when it comes out. I wish I hadn't spent two and a half hours on this one. Good try, though.
