A smart little rock movie from 2000 which is directed by Cameron Crowe, who knows his experiences from writing rock articles for Rolling Stone, but being around famous rock stars. Even marry one in 1986; You heard of her? Nancy Wilson of Heart. The film centers around a 15 year-old boy name william Miller who has a strict mother played by Frances McDormand and a runaway sister played by Zooey Deschanel. William was suddenely finds himself writing for a rock magazine and touring with a second rate rock band. the leader of the rock band is played by Billy Crudup. His love intrest is a groupie name Penny Lane, played by Kate Hudson. I love this movie and I love this scene when band members on the bus sang "Tiny Dancer." Every time I heard that sone, it reminds me of that movie.
