1977 was a great year for Science Fiction movies. First "Star Wars" came out in May 1977. And by the time December 1977 came around, "Star Wars" may still be in theatres. The film was probaby replaced with this movie directed by Steven Spielberg on aliens visiting the planet. Richard Dreyfuss plays a guy who believe that aliens had arrived ans in the process, he lost his family. The film had great special effects of alien vessels floating on the highway and in the end, when we get a glimpse of the aliens. The film was perfect along with a great music score that carries the movie. Even a cameo by Francois Truffaut didn't hurt either. A real classic. |
