Another Alfred Hitchock classic, "North by Northwest" has repeated one of Hitchcock's favorite themes, inwhich ordinary people who are caugh in situations they can't get out of. "The Man Who Knew Too Much," the 1956 thriller has carried the same idea as the "North by Northwest."
Cary Grant, plays Roger Thornhill a ordinary businessman, until he was caught in an assassination of an United Nation delgiate. Thus the was fored to run from both the police and the killers with the help of Eva Marie Saint.
There are lots of things you can looked forward to as you watched theis film 1) the music score is perfectly timed with the mood of the film. 2) the scene where Grant is being chased by airplane which is by my standard a classic, 3) the action where Grant pretend to be a jerk in order to arrested by the cops to get away from the killers, 4) the scene on top of Mt. Rushmore.
This is one of Hitchock's best films. The film has stood the test of time more than 40 years later and believe me "North By Northwest," is a thrill-ride.
Very well done suspense thriller, Cary Grant and Eva Marie Saint demonstrate how to be a screen presence and not just window dressing.
Well worth watching!
